Automate Your Routine
Recipes for killing the boring parts of your week.
By the end of this lesson
You'll spot one repetitive task in your week to hand to an agent.
Automation sounds corporate, but it just means: a boring thing that used to need you, now happens by itself. Start with one weekly chore you hate.
Real recipes
- 1Every Monday, gather numbers from a sheet and email yourself a clean report.
- 2Photograph receipts during the week → a tidy expense list appears.
- 3Turn long voice notes or meetings into summaries and to-dos automatically.
- 4Watch for a thing (a price, a new file, a form reply) → get a ping in Telegram (next lesson shows how easy that key is).
- 5Sort and rename a folder of messy files on a schedule.
By default these run when you ask. To make one happen unattended — say every Monday — ask Claude to set up a scheduled task; your computer just needs to be on at that time. Start with 'runs when I ask', add real scheduling later when you want it.
Don't try to automate your whole life at once. Pick the single most annoying repeat task this week and ask Claude to build it. Win, then add the next one.
