Agentic HTML Editor — Transform Any Text Into Publishable Documentation

A local-first editor that allows you to use any existing coding agent (e.g. Claude Code, Codex, Cursor) to generate HTML content (e.g. articles, slides, social media cards, landing page mockups) without needing an additional API key.

html-anything is a local-first web application developed by nexu-io team. It can convert various kinds of data such as Markdown, CSV, Excel, JSON, plain text, etc., into a single HTML file with publishing quality using your own coding agent’s CLI. When starting the application, it will automatically detect Claude Code, Cursor Agent, OpenAI Codex, Gemini CLI, GitHub Copilot CLI, OpenCode, Qwen Coder, Aider. It also includes 75 skill templates which can be composed to generate HTML files for different purposes (e.g. magazine articles, keynote speeches, resumes, posters, Xiaohongshu & tweet cards, web mockups, data reports, Hyperframes video scripts). Your agent will stream the generated HTML content to the web application and you can export it with just one click. For example, you can copy the inlined CSS code and paste it on WeChat without further formatting; Or download a 2x PNG image directly to X or Instagram composer; Or save the generated HTML file locally as .html. You don’t need an additional API key, it will reuse your current API session (claude login/cursor login/codex auth). It has been released for 4 months, and now has reached 8 k★. Licensed under Apache 2.0.

Why a vibe-coder should care

It helps you automate the content creation process if you are a frequent content creator (e.g. writer, speaker, social media user), eliminating the need to manually format the final output.

How to install

Copy this and send it to your agent — Claude Code, Codex, any of them:

Clone and set up html-anything from https://github.com/nexu-io/html-anything — run pnpm install, then pnpm -F @html-anything/next dev and open http://localhost:3000. Ask me if you need help configuring the coding-agent backend.

A regular laptop — Node.js (pnpm) and one of the agents required: Claude Code, Codex, Cursor, or another if you already have one installed. No GPU needed.
