OpenHands Agent Canvas is a self hosted control center for developers to manage and run multiple AI agents. Rather than connecting to each agent through its own terminal or window, OpenHands allows you to aggregate them (or any agent supporting the Agent-Client Protocol) into a single web interface running on your computer. You can then chat with agents, build automations that respond to Github events or Slack messages, schedule when agents run, and easily switch between running agents locally, remotely, or in the cloud while maintaining state across sessions. Each backend can run agents in a sandboxed environment, and you can also host an agent server that you and your team can share and collaborate with (e.g. for an automated code review workflow). We’ve been open source for 18 months and have grown to 86,000 stars. We offer a paid SaaS solution in addition to our free, self hosted offering.

Why a vibe-coder should care

If you’re someone who works with AI agents frequently and wants them to run in the background (e.g. responding to Github issues, sending reports to Slack, or running on a schedule), OpenHands provides the control panel that you need. Your project files are accessible to agents directly and everything runs locally.
