OpenHuman: Your Personal AI on your Mac, Windows, Linux!

OpenHuman is an open source personal AI for Mac, Windows, Linux that creates a persistent memory from your emails, docs & chats on first use.

OpenHuman is an open source personal AI desktop application for Mac, Windows & Linux. Written in Rust, and bundled in a simple installer with no terminal or config files. Automatically syncs your emails, calendar, documents & chats to local compressed Markdown files in a SQLite-based Memory Tree upon first use, and re-syncs every 20 minutes. Integrates with more than 100 OAuth providers, 5000 MCP servers and 90,000 Skills, seamlessly dispatching each job to the optimal model. TokenJuice compresses data sent to the model, reducing tokens used by up to 80%. Privacy Mode enforced at the Rust level allows you to turn off all inference and ensure it never leaves your device. The OpenHuman app can manage concurrent agents, orchestrate durable workflows with a visual interface, contact you through 17 different chat channels (Telegram, WhatsApp, Slack, email client, etc), and even generate images & videos out of the box.

Why a vibe-coder should care

OpenHuman eliminates the need for a toolbox of plugins, agents, workflows and bridges by installing just one app. With the local Memory Tree your assistant will always have context and you won’t have to repeat yourself. Privacy Mode and local Ollama ensure you can work fully offline if necessary.

How to install

Copy this and send it to your agent — Claude Code, Codex, any of them:

Set up OpenHuman from https://github.com/tinyhumansai/openhuman — download the installer for my OS from the Releases page, run the installation, and show me how to connect at least one integration and how the Memory Tree works. Ask me if you need API keys or credentials.

Runs on a regular laptop (Mac, Windows, or Linux) — installer available on the website, no terminal needed.
