US company ablates safety filters from open-weight AIs via abliteration ($5/million tokens)
Abliteration.ai has released a commercial API that allows users to interact with a modified version of Z.AI’s GLM-5.3 model which has had its safety filters ablated (i.e. permanently altered). This costs $5 per million tokens of input/output.
This is different to prompt jailbreaking as ablation works by altering the underlying activations that cause an AI to say no, so the effect is permanent at the weight layer. On ExploitGym the ablated model was able to solve 105 tasks in 2 hours while on CyberGym it achieved a score of 84.5%.
Audn.AI and Silk Compute also offer similar services, helping to carve out a market for commercial uncensored AI APIs where the onus is entirely on the user to be responsible.
