ChatGPT Health opens to U.S. consumers with integration of Apple Health and access to EHR data
ChatGPT Health is now available to everyone in the US. It integrates with Apple Health, MyFitnessPal, and medical records from a network of 2.2M providers.
ChatGPT Health is now available to all authenticated US users who are 18 years old and above, on all paid tiers (Free/Go/Plus/Pro), and across web & iOS platforms. The app integrates with Apple Health, Peloton, MyFitnessPal, Weight Watchers, AllTrails, Instacart, and medical records from partner b.well which serves around 2.2M healthcare providers in the US. It can help understand lab results, decipher medical terms, and ask pertinent questions to your doctor.
Data and interactions in ChatGPT Health are stored in a different space than the general chat. This marks the first time that AI has been legally granted and secured access to medical data of hundreds of millions of people. When an AI agent can analyze patient’s lab reports over time and read their medical charts, it sets a new standard of expectations for doctors and the overall healthcare system — blurring the lines between chat interfaces and primary healthcare providers.
