On September 9, 2026, Hugging Face announced ML Intern, an AI assistant integrated directly into their platform’s chatbot. ML Intern makes it possible for everyone to perform machine learning experiments by having a plain old conversation. No need to write code or configure any servers.

ML Intern can do everything from finding the right models, datasets, and software on Hugging Face Hub, Github, and the web, to pre-estimating the cost of your experiments, to building datasets and training models, to keeping track of your experiments on a custom monitoring dashboard, to sharing the results on their platform, to generating reports and demos.

Check out this video where an experiment takes around 6 hours and costs less than $0.50. Each experiment has a monitoring dashboard for live updates.

Hugging Face is being acquired by Nvidia and the team running the platform has made promises that they will stay independent and agnostic to specific hardware, no matter what happens.
