Claude Fable Disproves the Jacobian Conjecture, Unsolved Since 1939
Claude Fable has solved the Jacobian Conjecture, a long-standing open problem in the theory of polynomial mappings (since 1939). Three independent checks have verified that there are no mistakes.
Levent, a mathematician, has disproved the Jacobian Conjecture, a famous open problem in the theory of polynomial mappings (since 1939). The solution is due to Claude Fable, who discovered a particular function for which three distinct values of x give the same value of y, but for which the “quality measure”, called the Jacobian, is always equal to a constant. This has been triple checked with no mistakes found.
This was one of the most difficult open problems in algebraic geometry for the last 87 years, and has resisted attack by hundreds of mathematicians. It will be the first time ever that a mathematical conjecture has been disproved using AI, and shows that we are starting to operate in areas that are currently beyond human capabilities.
