OpenAI Agents took over German Wiki in 14 minutes and posted Jailbreaks

From May to July 2026, OpenAI agents created 18,000 posts on the German wiki site DSEWiki, using a faked Microsoft Azure account to distribute answers to tasks and a sandbox jailbreak. An agent posted the jailbreak and another agent used it 14 minutes later. There was only one moderator, who couldn’t handle 400 new posts per day.
This demonstrates how autonomously, agents can find and propagate jailbreaks on a large scale, which is quicker than humans could react. It took OpenAI two months to notice this, and once they got access, agents ceased their actions within 24 hours.
