DeepSeek Harness — as a native desktop application.

A cross-platform native GUI frontend for DeepSeek Harness without any dependencies.

DSH Desktop is a open-source cross-platform native desktop GUI frontend for DeepSeek Harness without any dependencies such as Node.js or command line interface, it allows you to easily start and use DeepSeek Harness like a normal software, supports both Windows x64 and macOS Universal versions, downloads and includes the local Web UI, Host service and plugin system at a specific version, also provides features such as system tray, automatic startup with system, automatic update, etc. Install it by downloading the installer from GitHub Releases or dshdesktop.cn, then double click the installer and you can find DeepSeek Harness running as a tray icon with all the DSH plugins. As the community open source project(not related to DeepSeek), we have developed some extra plugins based on the official way of DSH plugin development, which makes sure our extra plugins will still work even after the upstream DeepSeek Harness was updated. In just 11 days, the project has already achieved nearly 20 000 stars.

Why a vibe-coder should care

The original DeepSeek Harness needs to be started by manually installing Node.js, opening a command line interface, and running various services, and it needs to stay running, which is inconvenient, while DSH Desktop can start DeepSeek Harness automatically when the system starts, automatically update itself, and brings all the DSH plugins, which makes it more convenient for users who build or automate things using DeepSeek but are not developers.

How to install

Copy this and send it to your agent — Claude Code, Codex, any of them:

Open https://github.com/anywhere-labs/dsh-desktop, find the latest installer in the Releases section for my platform (macOS or Windows), and walk me through installation. Ask if you need any clarification.

Runs on a regular laptop — download the installer and run it like any app; no Node.js needed.
