An ad-free MCP shopping agent bot.
NorthCinder is an open-source MCP server that allows your AI agent to browse the web, find items based on your specifications, and get final confirmation from you before buying.
NorthCinder is an open source, self hosted MCP server for shopping agents. It can interface with shops like Shopify, WooCommerce, eBay, Etsy, Amazon and more. It will rank items based purely on what’s specified in your brief (price, shipping time, features, seller reputation) and flag sponsored offers below organic ones. It’s transparent about how it ranks, providing machine readable explanations for each result and keeping an audit log of its decisions locally.
Why a vibe-coder should care
When we’re using an AI agent to do our shopping, we want to be sure that they’re acting in our best interests, rather than the highest bidder’s. NorthCinder provides transparency in the agent’s decision making process and requires separate authorization for auto checkout, ensuring that there is no question as to what you’re buying.
