Flower margins for your LaTeX document — no images needed
This LaTeX package draws a floral border — stems, leaves, flowers — right in the page margin while the document compiles, with no image files. You get custom decorative margins without a graphics editor.
A LaTeX package that mathematically draws flowers, leaves and stems in the page margin and can fill whatever blank space is left.
When it helps
Useful if you're writing a book, thesis or document in LaTeX and want unusual decorative margins. Skip it if you don't use LaTeX or need general graphics, not margin decoration.
Pros
- No image files — the art is computed and drawn straight into the PDF
- Automatically fills whatever blank space is left on the page
- Try it in the browser first, no LaTeX install needed
- Comes with themes: geometric shapes, math figures, changing seasons
Cons
- Only decorates margins, not a general-purpose graphics tool
- Embedding it in your own document requires knowing LaTeX
How to set it up — step by step
- 1Install LaTeX on your computer, or just open the browser playground — no GPU needed.
- 2Open the repository github.com/kevinraymond/florilegium and check its README for setup.
- 3Open your AI agent (Claude Code, Codex) in your project folder.
- 4Send the agent the text from the block below.
- 5Check the resulting PDF or SVG — a flower garden should appear in the margin.

Grab the florilegium package from https://github.com/kevinraymond/florilegium — install it into your LaTeX document per the README, or just open the playground at https://kevinraymond.github.io/florilegium/, and ask it to put together a page with a grown floral margin, following the florilegium-grow.tex example. Show me the resulting PDF or SVG.
Runs on a regular laptop — just a LaTeX install, or a browser for the online playground; no GPU needed.
