Minke (Desktop app) for DeepSeek Harness
A desktop app that consolidates your agent chat, web browsing, terminal and file management into a single window. Available for macOS, Windows, and Linux.
Minke is a desktop app (macOS, Windows, Linux) for DeepSeek Harness developed by indie developer lencx. It unifies agent chat, syntax highlighted file diffing, file manager, browser and plugin manager into one window without requiring tab switching. Minke can connect to DeepSeek using its cloud API or to local models using LM Studio + Ollama (or any other OpenAI compatible API). Minke can also be accessed from mobile devices using Tailscale Serve. On iPhone or Android, Minke is opened as a PWA where you can carry on agent tasks and remote terminal usage. Data is stored locally. Minke supports installing plugins from its user interface which is connected to a built-in Github catalogue.
Why a vibe-coder should care
Conveniently manage your DeepSeek agent activities from one app, without having to frequently switch apps. You can also carry on agent tasks when away from your computer, using Tailscale
How to install
Copy this and send it to your agent — Claude Code, Codex, any of them:
Install the Minke app from https://github.com/lencx/Minke — download the right package for my system from GitHub Releases, launch it and show me how to connect a DeepSeek API key or a local model via Ollama. Ask me for the API key if needed.
Runs on a regular laptop — the app itself is lightweight. Uses DeepSeek via the cloud by default; for local models via Ollama you'll need a Mac with 16+ GB of RAM.
