n8n: Self-hosted visual AI automation platform.
n8n is an open-source workflow automation tool with a visual editor, 1,500+ integrations and built-in AI-agents. It’s self-hosted in one Docker command or cloud-hosted with zero-code workflows.
n8n is an open-source workflow automation tool that has been around for 7 years with more than 200 k stars. It offers a visual workflow editor combined with the ability to add custom JavaScript or Python code where necessary. There are 1,500+ integrations and 9,000+ community workflow templates to visually connect your services, e.g. start a workflow on incoming emails or new entries in your CRM system or trigger it via a webhook. Use conditional logic, transformers and AI agents to decide the next action based on the input data. Built-in AI capabilities allow you to use any OpenAI compatible model (e.g. Anthropic, Google or even your own locally running Ollama models) inside a workflow step. It can be self-hosted by running just one Docker command, but also offers the n8n cloud. Source code is always available, but we also offer additional enterprise features under a commercial license.
Why a vibe-coder should care
If you’re looking to automate your routine tasks (e.g. writing email responses, updating a spreadsheet, or sending telegram notifications) without needing to write code, you can use n8n to visually set up these workflows, including AI agents inside the workflow.
How to install
Copy this and send it to your agent — Claude Code, Codex, any of them:
Deploy n8n from https://github.com/n8n-io/n8n using Docker: run docker volume create n8n_data && docker run -it --rm --name n8n -p 5678:5678 -v n8n_data:/home/node/.n8n docker.n8n.io/n8nio/n8n and open http://localhost:5678. Ask me if you need API keys for connecting AI models.
Runs on a regular laptop — only Docker needed.
