OpenDesign: AI Agent Design Studio for Decks and Prototypes

OpenDesign is an open-source version of Claude Design, a closed product by Anthropic. It’s a native desktop application for macOS and Windows, launched in late April 2026, with almost 90 000 GitHub stars within four months. It is a design studio for AI coding agents. You describe what you want, the agent creates it on the fly inside the app, with a preview, and you keep iterating until you’re satisfied. The agent can create web and mobile prototypes, live dashboards, slides decks, images, HyperFrame motion graphics and videos. It supports many coding agents including Claude Code, OpenAI Codex, Cursor, OpenCode, GitHub Copilot, DeepSeek Harness, Kiro, Kimi, Hermes and more than 20 others. It also supports BYOK (Bring Your Own Key) for any OpenAI compatible endpoint. It supports DESIGN.md design systems so you can set up your brand colours, fonts and components, and all the designs created by the agent will follow the design system.
