A plugin that auto-tests your game levels in Unreal, Unity, or Godot
Autopilot is an editor plugin that launches your game, plays through a level, and sends you a report of problems. You no longer have to test levels by hand after every build.
It's an AI agent built into your game editor: it reads your project's code, plays the level on screen, and explains what's broken.
When it helps
Useful if you're building a game in Unreal, Unity, or Godot and want levels checked for bugs without playing through them yourself. Skip it if you don't use one of these engines.
Pros
- No paid Aura account needed — uses your existing Claude Code/Codex subscription.
- Decisions run in the cloud, so you don't need your own GPU.
- Gets smarter over time as it learns your specific game.
- Can check specific goals, like beating a boss without losing much health.
Cons
- Early runs can be rough — the agent doesn't know your game.
- Only works with Unreal, Unity, and Godot on Windows and Mac.
How to set it up — step by step
- 1Open your coding agent (Claude Code or Codex) in your project folder.
- 2Send the agent the text from the block below — it will install and connect Autopilot.
- 3Tell the agent which engine your project uses: Unreal, Unity, or Godot.
- 4Wait for the agent to run an exploration pass on your current level.
- 5Check the Autopilot report to see what issues it found in the level.
Text for your agent
Copy this and send it to your agent — Claude Code, Codex, any of them:
Install the Autopilot plugin into my project (ask me whether it's Unreal, Unity or Godot) following https://github.com/ramenvr/autopilot, connect it to my Claude Code with autopilot connect claude, and run an exploration pass on the current level — show me the report of what it found.
No extra GPU is needed for Autopilot itself — it drives the game engine you already have installed, and the decisions run in the cloud through your Claude Code or Codex subscription, or an Aura account.
