Make any drawing you code actually come alive, not just move
This is a rule file for your AI coding agent that turns jerky code-made animation into motion that breathes, looks around, and shifts weight.
It's not an app — it's a rules file your AI agent reads before writing animation code for your drawing or screen.
When it helps
Useful if you're building animated screens in React Native or SwiftUI with an agent. Skip it for static mockups or other platforms.
Pros
- Lists the exact mistakes agents make in animation, with fixes
- Includes a ready animation engine and live-face templates for both platforms
- Can check motion frame by frame against a reference video
- No paid key or subscription needed — it's just a rules file
Cons
- Ready templates cover only React Native and SwiftUI, nothing else
- You still have to describe your drawing's quirks in MOTION.md yourself
How to set it up — step by step
- 1Open your AI coding agent (Claude Code, Codex, etc.) inside your React Native or SwiftUI project folder
- 2Run npx skills@latest add rossark0/rossark-motion-skill — it installs nothing permanently, just adds the rules
- 3Send the agent the text from the block below
- 4Let the agent apply the rules from SKILL.md and rewrite your drawing's animation code
- 5Check the result: the face should blink and smile, the body should flow between poses instead of freezing
- 6If anything looks jerky, ask the agent to recheck the common-mistakes list in SKILL.md
Text for your agent
Copy this and send it to your agent — Claude Code, Codex, any of them:
Install the skill from https://github.com/rossark0/rossark-motion-skill (README command: npx skills@latest add rossark0/rossark-motion-skill), and bring my SVG character drawing to life in my React Native app - make the face blink and the body move the way SKILL.md describes, then show me the result.
Runs on a regular laptop - it is a skill for the agent, no separate program needed.
