Skill Cabinet: view and manage agent skills

A local web UI to scan your AI agent skills directories (.claude, .codex, .cursor, etc.)

01subsy/skill-cabinet 346JavaScript

Skill Cabinet is a local web UI to scan through all skill directories on your system (including .claude, .codex, .cursor, .agents, Hermes profiles, and paths like ~/.*/skills) and display all discovered skills in one location. Alongside the skill body, you’ll see the YAML metadata, where it was sourced (on GitHub), and if it’s a file, symlink, or non-existent. Duplicate skills found across agents are displayed, along with high-risk patterns in skill bodies. Skills can be quarantined, removing them from all running agent drawers while leaving them on disk (where they can be restored). Multiple skills can also be deleted in bulk. Run with npx skill-cabinet (requires Node 20+) to automatically open it on port 3781.

Why a vibe-coder should care

Skills can silently pile up across agents, without an easy way to view what’s installed on all of them. With Skill Cabinet, you can quickly glance through your skills in a web browser to identify duplicates, broken symlinks, or troublesome skills — cleaning things up in seconds.

How to install

Copy this and send it to your agent — Claude Code, Codex, any of them:

Set this up on my machine: https://github.com/subsy/skill-cabinet — follow the README, run `npx skill-cabinet` and open it in the browser. Show me what appears on the screen.

Runs on a regular laptop — just Node 20+ needed.
