AppLess: LLM Generated Mobile App UI
AppLess is an experimental app by the folks behind OpenUI — an open standard for generative user interfaces powered by language models. No icons. No menus. Just ask.
AppLess is an experimental app built by the team behind OpenUI, an open standard for generative user interfaces powered by language models. There are no apps, no home screens. Everything is dynamically generated by a language model (Cerebras) using openui-lang, a streaming DSL that renders to native Cupertino components on iOS and Material 3 on Android. It’s completely offline — you’ll need a free Cerebras API key.
Why a vibe-coder should care
With AppLess, you can experience what a truly generative OS might feel like: you request something, a UI is generated, you interact with it, and the next screen is already loaded in the background. Note that all interactions (ordering, booking, payment) are faked. This is a proof of concept and not a real product.
