DSH Anchored Standard: DeepSeek Agent Preset
This is a DeepSeek Harness user preset that improves agent benchmarks by presenting a small subset (2 tools) of the available catalog on the initial request and providing the complete catalog on subsequent requests.
This is a community project that is not associated with nor endorsed by DeepSeek. This is a DeepSeek Harness agent framework project called Anchored Standard. The problem being solved is that DeepSeek V4 Pro has a strong bias toward the initial tool catalog presented. If we start with the full Standard catalog, then it starts adding hedges and being less direct. By using the exact same 2 tools as the Minimal preset, it anchors the initial response to be more direct and focused on completing the task. Once the first tool is called, it automatically switches to show the complete Standard catalog. In Project2 evaluations, it got scores of 98–99 compared to 91–92 for the Standard preset.

If you are using DeepSeek V4 Pro via the DeepSeek Harness framework to do coding, then this preset will make a big difference in your initial messages being less hedgy and more action oriented. It’s easy to install, just copy one folder.
