AI Slop Locks Real $200K Bug Out of Apple’s Bug Bounty Program
A critical MacOS bug was discovered by Bynario, but they couldn’t report it to Apple because their bug bounty program was flooded with thousands of AI generated fake bugs.
An important vulnerability was found in MacOS by an italian cybersecurity company called Bynario. Such a bug can be sold on the dark web between 100,000$ and 200,000$, granting total control over the target device. Sadly, they couldn’t disclose this information to apple since their bug bounty program is flooded with thousands of ai generated fake bugs about non existent problems.
If you can create fake bugs, real ones won’t get fixed. The security model of a billion devices is being compromised, not via code but via the bug reporting system
