Claude Can Now Build Dashboards and Videos on Its Own
Anthropic has added two beta tools to Claude, Dashboards and Motion: live dashboards pulled from BigQuery, Snowflake and Salesforce, plus animated videos made from text.
Anthropic, the company behind the Claude AI assistant, has added two tools in beta: Dashboards and Motion. Dashboards connects to data sources like BigQuery, Databricks, Snowflake, or Salesforce. These are services where a company's data lives. It builds a dashboard that updates on its own and shows the query behind each number. You can export the finished dashboard to analytics tools such as Amplitude, Grafana, or Hex. Motion turns a text description into an animated explainer video. Dashboards only works on paid plans. Motion only works on Team and Enterprise plans. Separately, Claude's existing Docs, Slides, and Design tools have left beta. They now work on all plans, including free accounts. Anthropic says more than 45 million documents have been created with these tools.
Before this, building a dashboard from a plain text request meant you needed an analyst or a separate BI tool. A BI tool is software for visualizing business data. If the BigQuery, Snowflake, and Salesforce combination really connects without manual tweaking, a whole layer of extra tools stops being necessary. Video is trickier. In similar setups that turn text and images into video, generation is actually the easy part. Most of the time goes into timing and stitching clips together. So limiting Motion to Team and Enterprise plans makes sense. It is a computationally expensive feature, not a one-click button.
