Anthropic has merged Claude Chat and Cowork into a single product — no more choosing between a "chat" and a "workspace." Along with the merge come Claude Docs (collaborative document editing) and Claude Slides (presentations with PDF and PowerPoint export). Pro and Max subscribers get access first.
For me, the biggest win is no more context-switching between chat and Cowork. Claude Docs with shareable collaborative editing is exactly what was missing for handing off deliverables to clients without exporting files. I'll test Slides directly from chat separately: I want to see how much better it is than asking Fable 5.1 to write the content and then manually moving it into Keynote.
