Flux 3 Image Changes Only the Part of the Photo You Select
Black Forest Labs released Flux 3 Image. It edits photos step by step, builds scenes from frames and up to ten reference images, and outputs resolutions up to 4K. Open weights are promised in a few weeks.
Black Forest Labs released Flux 3 Image. What caught my attention is the targeted editing. The model touches only the part of the photo you select, and it leaves the rest alone. You can build a scene with frames right on the canvas. You can add up to ten reference photos. The output resolution goes up to 4K. Open weights are promised in a few weeks. For now, access is a free demo and an API with a 50% discount through October 8.
Targeted editing is exactly what you need when you are making screenshots for a landing page or a product card. Regenerating the whole image because of one detail wastes time and tokens. Flux 3 Image has no open weights yet. So right now you can only try it through the API or the free demo, not run it on your own server. If the weights really do become open, that will matter for teams that cannot send customer photos to an external API. But I would wait for the actual release rather than count on a promise.
