Google Demos New AI Model Gemini With Realtime Video Avatar

Google Gemini 3.8 Live has Live Avatar. It is a real-time video avatar that mimics facial expressions in sync with your voice, and it supports 97 languages. You can create an avatar of your company using your own images while preserving your branding and keeping your face. This feature is currently available to Gemini Enterprise customers on an invite-only basis.

Having a human face and expressions doesn’t increase the accuracy of the answers. It simply changes the feel of your customer experience when interacting with your bot. My first approach as a support agent would be to use either the voice or the text interface. Then I would consider adding a video avatar (only if my customers requested one) and making sure that this feature is tagged with SynthID (which indicates that the content was generated by AI). It is a good idea to keep in mind how easy it has become these days to generate a voice and a face for any service.
