Gemini Omni 1.1 Flash: Video Generation Now 3× Cheaper

Google's updated video generator analyzes 10 seconds of prior context instead of one, extends scenes up to 40 seconds, and costs $0.03 per second in draft mode — versus $0.10 at 720p.

Google has released Gemini Omni 1.1 Flash — a video generator update for developers. The key change: when extending a scene, the model now analyzes 10 seconds of prior video instead of one second, making transitions significantly more coherent. Scenes can be extended in 10-second increments up to 40 seconds total. Style reference support has been added: a developer uploads up to 3 seconds of external video, and the model preserves character movements and personalities.

Pricing and Speed

The new 360p draft mode runs 60% faster and costs $0.03 per second — three times cheaper than 720p mode ($0.10/sec). Full pricing: 360p — $0.03, 720p — $0.10, 1080p — $0.15, 4K — $0.30 per second. Final renders can be upscaled to 4K. The model has been available through Google AI Studio since August 27, 2026.

What Changes for Developers

A threefold price drop combined with the expanded context window makes video generation viable for production services where iteration costs were previously prohibitive. Developers can run 360p drafts for fractions of a cent and only upscale to 4K for finished versions. The new keyframe-based camera control adds programmatic control over shot movement without manual editing.
