Google fixed 1,072 vulnerabilities in Chrome using Gemini in June 2026. That’s more than the number of vulnerabilities fixed in all of the previous 23 releases combined. The models automatically scanned code for bugs and then fixed them on the spot.

With LLMs, security releases can be done within a single cycle instead of taking years. Microsoft broke its previous record in July 2026 by fixing 570 bugs using AI. Meanwhile, Apple hasn’t deployed AI to scan code at scale yet and hasn’t seen this kind of improvement in code security. The divide between those who have AI and those who don’t will only widen.
