OpenAI released Computer History, a Mac app that tracks your mouse clicks, keyboard strokes, and apps switched, creating a searchable memory bank for ChatGPT. There are no images, but it saves data in plaintext (unencrypted) Markdown files which can be accessed by other apps with the same user privileges. It’s not currently supported in the EU, UK, or Switzerland.
It also detects common workflows and suggests automating them as “Skills” for Codex. Be careful though, there’s a chance of a prompt injection attack where sensitive information displayed on your screen might get recorded in memory and used to deceive the AI assistant.
