OpenAI Switches to Outcome-Based Pricing
AI companies are shifting to a per-success pricing model. Customers only pay for AI successes (e.g. case resolution). Examples include OpenAI (now with an enterprise fee structure based on successful AI actions, e.g. closing a support ticket), Salesforce ($3.6B acquisition of Fin, the AI agent), Cognition (will refund up to $10M if its agent fails), and Sierra.

Subscriptions are dead; as costs rise, companies cannot afford to charge fixed fees. The question is, how do we attribute success? Was it the AI, the marketing campaign, or was it just that time of year?
