Starcloud is building 88,000 satellites to enable orbital AI computing.

Starcloud just raised $250M at a $2.3B valuation and will deploy 88,000 satellites to do AI inference in space. They got a $25M investment from Nvidia. First two launch on Falcon 9 in 2027, the biggest on Starship in 2028.

Orbital data centers answer the problem of land, energy, and permitting for terrestrial centers. “Building a data center” will have a whole new meaning if the market says it’s necessary.
