Startup Vocci has released a smart ring for recording and transcribing meetings at $249. The device weighs under six grams and runs for eight hours on a charge. It is made of titanium. A double tap starts recording. AI then automatically generates a short summary and saves a full transcript of the conversation.

The form factor is interesting. The ring does not distract the other person, unlike a smartphone or laptop on the table. For long client calls where I need a ready summary rather than something recalled from memory, I would use this. For quick AI questions and short notes, the ring is not suitable. The manufacturer says so openly.
