Clone any app's features and flow with an AI agent
Eleven Claude skills walk you through rebuilding an existing app — from mapping its screens to getting a copy ready to launch.
It's a set of instructions for your AI agent that rebuild an app's features and screens from scratch, without copying its code, logo, or content.
When it helps
Good for quickly mocking up an app similar to one you like as a vibe-coding project; not for an exact or legally safe copy of someone else's product.
Pros
- Free, no sign-up, no API key needed
- Runs inside Claude, nothing extra to install
- Guides you from analysis through store listing
- Strips the original's name and colors from your code
Cons
- Doesn't copy real code, so results can be rough
- Complex apps (like spreadsheet tools) won't fully rebuild
- App stores may still reject it as a copycat
How to set it up — step by step
- 1Open your AI agent (e.g. Claude Code) inside your project folder
- 2Send the agent the text from the block below
- 3Wait while it installs the skills and runs /replica-recon on the app you want to rework
- 4Open the replica/recon.md file and check the screen map
- 5Read the Fine print section in the README before launching anything
Text for your agent
Copy this and send it to your agent — Claude Code, Codex, any of them:
Install the Replica skills from https://github.com/Jakeschincariol/replica-skill (`/plugin install replica-skill@replica-skill` in Claude Code, or paste the repo link in chat and ask it to install the skill), run /replica-recon on the app I want to rework, and show me what it wrote to recon.md.
Runs on a regular laptop — just Python 3.8 or newer, nothing to pip install, everything runs inside Claude.
