Teach your AI coding agent to stop making generic UI
Impeccable is a set of rules and commands for your coding agent so the interfaces it builds stop looking like a generic AI template.
It's a skill (agent instructions) plus an error detector that teach your coding agent how to avoid design clichés.
When it helps
Useful if your agent-built UI feels templated: gradients, nested cards, Inter font. Skip it if you don't use an agent for interfaces.
Pros
- 24 commands — from polish to critique — a shared vocabulary with your agent
- 62 rule-based checks need no AI, run free and automatically
- Works with Claude Code, Cursor, Codex, and a dozen other agents
- Mature project with almost 92,000 GitHub stars
Cons
- Passing the detector isn't proof of good design — still check it visually
- You decide yourself which of the 24 commands fits which moment
How to set it up — step by step
- 1Open your coding agent (Claude Code, Codex, etc.) in your project folder.
- 2Send the agent the text from the block below.
- 3Let it run npx impeccable install and /impeccable init — it reads the README (documentation) itself.
- 4Ask it to run /impeccable critique and /impeccable audit on one finished screen.
- 5Check the list of findings before and after fixes that the agent shows you.
Text for your agent
Copy this and send it to your agent — Claude Code, Codex, any of them:
Install the Impeccable skill from https://github.com/pbakaus/impeccable for me — follow its README (npx impeccable install, then /impeccable init), run /impeccable critique and /impeccable audit on one of my existing screens, and show me the findings before and after the fixes.
This is a skill set and a small detector for your agent, not a separate program — no extra GPU or server needed, it runs on a regular laptop on top of the agent you already use.
