A self-hosted life dashboard your AI assistant can edit too
Edi Life OS keeps habits, goals, focus sessions, money and a kanban board in one self-hosted dashboard, with a built-in MCP server so Claude can log an expense or tick off a habit for you.
Edi Life OS is a self-hosted dashboard that puts ten workspaces behind one login and one database: an overview with a daily score, a growth section linking long-term goals to SMART goals and habits, a focus timer, a finance ledger for expenses and debts, a habit tracker, a kanban board, a calendar, goals, a markdown notepad and sticky notes. The workspaces are connected rather than separate: a habit drives goal progress, a kanban card with a due date shows up on the calendar, and the daily score is built from focus, habits, goals and work together. A built-in MCP server exposes 15 tools over a token-protected HTTP API, so Claude Desktop, Claude Code or any other MCP client can read the dashboard, create a goal, tick off a habit, or log an expense when you ask in plain language; the server never touches the database or credentials directly. It deploys with one `docker compose up`, with MySQL, the app and file attachments each in their own volume, or as a plain PHP+MySQL site on shared hosting.
Why a vibe-coder should care
If habits, goals and budget are currently split across five apps that do not talk to each other, this puts them behind one dashboard and lets you update it by asking Claude instead of opening a separate app for each task. The trade-off is that it is self-hosted: there is no managed cloud version, so standing it up and keeping it updated is your own job, and the finance ledger's default currency and the weather widget's default city need changing in settings for most readers.
How to install
Copy this and send it to your agent — Claude Code, Codex, any of them:
Deploy Edi Life OS from here: https://github.com/edrisranjbar/lifeos — bring it up with docker compose following the README, connect the built-in MCP server to Claude Desktop or Claude Code, ask me if you need any passwords or the token, then have Claude create a goal or tick off a habit and show me the result.
Lightweight: no graphics card needed, deploys via Docker on an ordinary computer or even cheap shared PHP/MySQL hosting.
