Anthropic Delays IPO: Revenue Doubled, Infrastructure Costs Up 65%
Anthropic is postponing its IPO until November 2026 so it can report Q3 earnings. Q2 revenues doubled to $11.5 billion, while infrastructure costs jumped by 65% to $5.6 billion.
Anthropic delayed their IPO (initial public offering) from October to November 2026, so they could include their Q3 earnings. They saw a >2x increase in revenue (from $4.7B to $11.5B), and a 4x increase in customers paying them >$100,000 per year (from 1,500 to 6,000).
However, they also experienced a significant increase in infrastructure costs (up 65% from $3.4B to $5.6B), including paying SpaceX $1.25B/month. Therefore, I doubt their APIs will get cheaper any time soon.
