Anthropic Connects Claude to Bank Accounts

The AI research lab Anthropic has introduced a new beta product for its Claude chatbot called Personal Finance. With Personal Finance, users can link their bank accounts and credit card accounts through Plaid, a financial services provider that connects apps to financial institutions. Once connected, you can ask Claude how much money you spent last month. The access is read-only. Claude will not transfer or invest your money. Instead, it can go through your transaction history for the past couple of years. It can spot recurring charges and hidden fees. It can also work out interest rates on your loans and build visualizations of your spending. Anthropic warns, though, that Personal Finance is not meant for investment purposes. Claude can get things wrong, so you should always check the details with your own bank. Personal Finance is now available in beta to Anthropic's Pro, Max, and Ultra subscribers in the US.
