Google Lyria 3.5 — Ai generated music and Gemini integrated together.

Google launches its Lyria 3.5 model in the Gemini app for text-based music composition with options for genre and style. The model was trained only on licensed material.

Google launched Lyria 3.5 — a new music generator that’s now a part of the Gemini app. Now you can make a song inside the popular chatbot that’s being used by hundreds of millions of people.

What Lyria 3.5 Can Do

Lyria 3.5 creates music based on texts. You can specify the genre, style, duration, and if you need vocals or not. There are templates for background music and custom greetings. Lyria 3.5 is also available on the Google AI Studio API, Google Flow Music, and Google Vids.

The Licensing Question

The company mentioned that they only used licensed material. We don’t know the specifics. This is a response to the lawsuits filed against rivals. For example, Suno was sued by record companies for using copyrighted material to train their model. Soon, only legal models will survive.

Music generators are going from startups to super apps. Only those with the right licenses will be able to compete with the major players.
