Waze + Gemini: AI Routes for Motorcycles and Voice Search
Waze has launched Motorcycle Mode — AI-powered routes for riders in 7 countries — along with Gemini-powered voice search, as the navigation app completes its full AI transition under Google.
Waze has rolled out a suite of AI features: Motorcycle Mode builds routes specifically for motorcycles, accounting for potholes, speed bumps, and narrow bridges — now live in 7 countries across Latin America and Southeast Asia. A Gemini-powered voice search lets drivers ask things like "Find a cheap gas station" — currently in beta across all regions.
Google is embedding Gemini into every one of its apps, turning familiar tools into voice-driven agents. When a navigation app can understand the context of a query on its own, the line between an app and an AI assistant disappears.
