OpenClaw : Have your own AI assistant on TeleGram, Slack, WhatsApp.
Your personal AI assistant right where you are. On your computer and available in all your favourite chat platforms.
OpenClaw is a free and open source local AI Assistant. It communicates in channels you already know and love like WhatsApp, Telegram, Slack, Discord, Google Chat, Signal, iMessage, etc. The Gateway acts as the main service in charge of managing sessions, tools and connecting channels. You can pick any model you want and configure channels and tools to suit your needs. Optional apps provide additional functionality, like voice interaction, canvas, camera, screen and local action triggers. Built by the OpenClaw Foundation and the Community. Available on Mac, Linux and Windows. Installs with a single command using curl or powershell.
Why a vibe-coder should care
Third party AI assistants in messengers cost money. You need a subscription and they keep your messages and data on their servers. With OpenClaw you have a personal AI assistant in your favourite messenger, and it’s running locally on your computer, for free, any model you want, unlimited messages and no data leaves your devices.
How to install
Copy this and send it to your agent — Claude Code, Codex, any of them:
Install OpenClaw from https://github.com/openclaw/openclaw — run install.sh per the README, connect Telegram or Discord, add a model, and show me how to send the first request; ask me if you need API keys.
Runs on a regular laptop — just one terminal command needed.
