Vork: let your coding agent render real 3D frames and VFX
Vork is a 3D and VFX rendering tool your coding agent can install and run on its own, without you touching an editor.
It's a program that renders a real 3D image from scene code using your GPU — the agent looks at the result and keeps tweaking the code until the frame looks right.
When it helps
Useful if you work with a coding agent and want a 3D frame or VFX shot without video editing. Skip it if you don't have a modern NVIDIA GPU with ray tracing or a recent Apple Silicon Mac.
Pros
- Agent can finish a shot on its own, no editor to drive
- Same code always renders the same frame — easy to compare changes
- Change one setting at a time and see only that effect
- Free and source-available right now
Cons
- Needs a modern NVIDIA GPU with ray tracing or an Apple Silicon Mac on new macOS
- Source-available, but not full open source
- Free only during this preview — future pricing unknown
How to set it up — step by step
- 1Open your coding agent (Claude Code, Codex) in your project folder.
- 2Send the agent the text from the block below — it will install Vork and read the README.
- 3Grant the agent extra permissions if it asks for them.
- 4Let the agent read the built-in help (vork help) and build a test scene.
- 5Check the resulting image the agent shows you after rendering.
- 6If your GPU or Mac doesn't meet requirements, stop here.
Text for your agent
Copy this and send it to your agent — Claude Code, Codex, any of them:
Install the rendering engine from here: https://github.com/voyager-so/vork — follow the install instructions in the README, read the built-in help (vork help), build and render a simple test scene, and show me the resulting image. Ask me if you need any extra permissions.
On Mac you need Apple Silicon and a recent macOS 26 — Intel Macs are not supported. On Windows and Linux you need a recent NVIDIA GPU with hardware ray-tracing support through Vulkan.
