Saudi Arabian Oil Company, known as Aramco, the country's national oil and gas company, is buying 49% of Humain. The Public Investment Fund, Saudi Arabia's sovereign wealth fund, created Humain in May 2025 to turn the kingdom into an AI superpower. Humain builds data centers, offers cloud computing, and develops its own models. One example is ALLaM, a model built for Arabic.

Aramco will invest about $2.6 billion in Humain in 2026 and will hand over its own AI technology to the company. Humain plans to use that technology in its own operations, and it will also sell AI solutions to outside clients. The company already holds a stake in Rebellions, a South Korean AI chipmaker, through its venture arm Wa'ed Ventures.

Humain is building its data centers together with the American tech companies AMD and Cisco. According to AMD, this infrastructure is already up and running, serving both local and overseas customers. Humain aims to reach three gigawatts of data center capacity by 2030. It wants to become a major exporter of AI services. That would add another large pool of AI compute outside the US and China.
