ChatGPT Voice can be used to write emails and cancel payments.

The ChatGPT voice assistant has been updated to use the latest GPT-6 models (Astra, Sol, Luna) for voice functionality. The ChatGPT voice assistant is able to interact with your email, calendar, slack, and even your finances. Simply ask the assistant to perform tasks such as viewing your calendar, sending an email, or canceling a monthly subscription. This is a small step toward the “Her” voice assistant (Sam Altman referenced “Her” in 2024 when ChatGPT launched their initial voice UI).

A self sufficient chatbot that is able to cancel subscriptions and send emails is no longer a chatbot. This is a real world action that requires trust but may not require immediate response times. From my own experience working with agents, I know that these types of actions will always be performed incorrectly the first time around. Until you implement some sort of review process to block any outgoing communications or spending, I would recommend holding off on allowing the bot to take the final action. Although the technology is advancing, it is still far away from being a “Her” assistant.
