OpenAI has acquired NextSlide, a startup that generates polished, editable presentations from a text prompt or an uploaded document. The team is moving to work on ChatGPT. Deal terms were not disclosed; founder Ahmed Beshri previously built Caper AI, which Instacart acquired in 2021.
Microsoft Copilot is already built into PowerPoint, and Google Gemini into Slides. OpenAI is closing that gap in office tools: winning the AI assistant market is increasingly less about model quality and more about being woven into everyday workflows.
