Cloudflare Launches Kitesurf, a Browser Built for AI Agents

Cloudflare launched Kitesurf — a cloud browser built not for people but for AI agents: programs that open websites, fill out forms, and complete tasks on the web. Developed in 12 weeks on the Cloudflare Workers platform with a custom rendering engine, it consumes significantly less CPU and memory than Chromium and has already passed more than 215,000 web standards tests. It is currently available as a free beta.

Launching a browser purpose-built for agents is a sign of market maturity: agents need more than just the ability to 'see' the web — they need infrastructure optimized for token costs, context management, and parallel scaling. Cloudflare is building the layer through which thousands of agents will simultaneously navigate the entire web.
