On Hacker News there was a post about 7 layers of code quality review with agents. The author says that it increases developer productivity 2–3x. A task is reviewed within 5–15 min and an agent can generate a test with over 95% code coverage if the input spec is good.
The lowest level of this pyramid is when a task is poorly specified and the agent can execute it incorrectly. I treat AI code review as a separate layer in my stack since it helps to find logical errors and security vulnerabilities that aren’t caught by tests.
