7 Layers of Code Review: How to Keep Quality When Working with Agents

A Hacker News article describes a seven-layer quality review process for development with agents. According to the author, productivity increases 2–3x. The extra review cycle takes 5–15 minutes per task. The agent writes tests with coverage above 95% on its own, as long as the input specification is structured correctly.

The weakest point is a vague task description: the agent will complete it, but incorrectly, and that is not immediately obvious. That is why in my stack I run AI code review as a separate step. It catches logic errors and vulnerabilities that tests miss.
